Created in 2008, the contest Smile of the Year is a project that has taken place annually for the past 18 years. It was established by the Bulgarian branch of the international dental publisher, Dental Tribune.

2027 will mark the 20th Anniversary edition of the Smile of the Year Awards.

The competition is open to professionals working in different fields of dentistry, divided into different categories. The contest aims to award the professional achievements of dentists and dental technicians, to provide them with worldwide recognition, as well as to draw the public’s attention to the quality work of some of the best practitioners in the dental world.

THE CONTEST

The event will be promoted through a 9-month advertising campaign, starting in October 2026 and ending in October 2027. The results will be announced at a glamorous award ceremony, which will take place in June 2027. More details to be announced.

We expect to welcome around 200 people at the ceremony (dentists and dental technicians, representatives of dental companies, and the media). Winners will receive the emblematic Smile of the Year designer trophies, certificates, digital seals, and a number of material and educational awards, provided by the partners of the event.
